In the late 19th Century, an ancient ropery became a remarkable place to eat the typical products of the venetian lagoon and its islands.
This is the story of Hostaria da Franz, which takes its name from its founder, the Austro-Hungarian soldier Franz Habeler. As time goes by through different ages, Hostaria da Franz still flourishes, the place to be for real Venetian hospitality, food and atmosphere.

The restaurant was renovated in 2012 trying to express the Italian artisan style with a careful choice of materials such as wood and marble. The lighting starts with chandeliers and wall lamps rigorously produced by Murano glass masters. The atmosphere is ideal for a romantic evening or a special occasion.A professional service will try to fulfill every request making the evening an unforgettable experience.
