Born in France in 1900, the Michelin Guide arrived in Italy in 1956 with the aim of providing useful information and suggestions to travelers.
Over the years, the strict selection criteria, applied uniformly in 30 countries, have made the Michelin Guide the most important authoritative and prestigious reference for gastronomy and culinary experience.
“Year after year, the Guide pointed out that the extraordinary nature of our cuisine lies in the excellence of the products, deeply rooted into local tradition together with the ability to innovate. Maybe that’s all, but being simple and at the same time innovative it’s a hard work, which requires commitment passion and teamworking” This is Sergio Lovrinovich, Director of the Michelin Guide Italy at the official presentation of the 2020 edition.
And thanks to the commitment to innovation and the passion to keep traditions alive, Hostaria da Franz is reviewed in the guide as follow
“An elegant venue among boiserie and Murano chandeliers, the atmosphere becomes more informal when ordering by voice: Maurizio, the patron, will show you the menu with great professionalism, lusciously describing the specialties – fish in particular – proposed in modern key “.
